Here are a few pictures from around our farm. Enjoy!

Look at our new arrivals!
We are very excited to have recieved a pretty rabbit colony from a fellow 4H family. Many came with adorable, apt names and we will try to add them correctly here:

Unloading the truck...

Muffin, a gorgeous, big boned blue-and-white doe. She's MINE! ALLLLL MINE! =) ***Update: Muffin surprised us with a litter 1/27!!!! Can't wait to see what colors she has! She has an excellent temperment and is very calm. We love her already =)

This is Florida, a dutch marked doe, very pregnant & she's expecting within a few days. Yay! ****Update; Florida kindled 1/24. She is also very sweet and a very calm doe.

This is Rex, he is a beautiful snowy white REW mini rex buck and is very friendly.

This is Tennessee, a cute little buck has an ear that kind of flops forward like a lop's ear. Cute!

A very pretty siamese/himalayan colored buck. I LOVE this color - I am going to fight my sisters for this boy. ;)

Above is a dutch doe

Here is a funny story: Out of ALL the beautiful, striking colors we received (blue, jet black, snow white, fawn, lavender, dove, and dutch) - my sister chose BROWN. Brown! Can you believe it? I mean, yes, these two boys are sooooo sweet - they didn't fight or fuss at being held and posed at all. But Brown? Oh well! At least they are loved too. And I suppose I don't mind the lack of competition for the rest of these beauties. ****Update: top photo is Warner (as in Warner Bros. - tribute to the wonderful Bugs Bunny) and the bottom photo is Disney (tribute to the adorable Thumper!) he has a bit of a flopped ear tip that reminds us of the precocious bunny on this movie.

A pretty fawn doe we've named Bambi

An agouti doe - this girl's sandy coloring and large frame remind me fondly of the Flemish Giants I used to raise. I wonder if she doesn't have some giant somewhere deep in her background?
***Kindled Feb 1st!

A fantastic siamese or himalayan marked doe - her face is a bit more dusky than her brother's - and she has blue eyes!

A white doe that I think might be part mini rex due to her short, plushy coat.
***Update: she's now named Whiteout Jen Frost!

Snip: An adorable dutch-like doe with a snip on her nose, a half collar of white, and a cute little white footie!
A lucky foot, perhaps?

A little agouti buck with a funny nose -

A glossy black doe

Meet Carmel -- I love this mini rex doe's color - not sure if it is lilac or dove, but here eyes are a slate gray, and just about match the patch of color around her eye.
***Update - she's an opal!
And she gave us a beautiful litter 1/26!!!
And there you have it!
We're going to give them some time to settle in before we work with them, but we will be splitting them up and each of us will be showing in 4H this summer. Can't wait!
