ANYA HAD HEALTHY, HAPPY, ADORABLE TWINS!!!!

We don't have names for them - yet! But we have time to consider them as we watch to make sure these two stay warm and dry, and we are keeping an eye on the other does as they are all due within the next few days.

Goat Herding --- by Car

With the roll in of a new century, the world has seen many changes: the replacement of typewriters by desktop and portable computers; carrying coin-&-paper cash and writing checks to debit and credit cards made of plastic; the use of the human workforce to machine... and now dogs can't even keep their jobs.
That's right.
Goat herding is no longer done by a lone shepherd and their dogs. Instead, it's becoming easier to herd goats by car.

You saw it on DumansArk.com first ;)
Just kidding! With gas prices as they are, it'd be cheaper to feed a pack of herding dogs...
These are our wonderful goats - we came upon them one day as we were driving home. We were quite surprised to see them - almost as surprised as they were to see us.
We told them to go home and carefully continued to follow them there - in our car.

(Above: Jace, our Alpine Buck)
We have hardy (hearty?) Alpines with amazing color; adorable, mischevious Nubians; and some stellar crossbreds that we are really enjoying.
All kids are due around Valentine's Day and should be a real treat this year - we'll keep you updated with plenty of photos. Soon.
A little bit about our herd:
We have ADGA Nubian and Alpine goats.
We also have A pair of Angora/Boer/Alpine crosses, & a Saanan/Nubian/Lamancha cross
