It's weird to write a blurb about yourself. Do you write it in the third person or 1st? What in the world do you say?
So I'll start with answering the question that gets asked a lot. Why the name DumansArk?
My last name is Duman (Yes, it's French, and it gets pounced in a number of ways and misspelled quite creatively) and growing up my family raised a wide and exotic variety of animals. We were dubbed "Duman's Ark". When I began sculpting animals, the name extended to my little creations. "I got that one from Duman's Ark!"

How did my career begin? I apprenticed at a jewelry repair shop resizing rings, & worked for Veterinarians for a living while sculpting & painting on the side as a hobby. When customers began buying my hand crafted items I was making in my spare time, I realized I wanted to make art "for real". It was one of the best decisions I've ever made. I love it!

I also dabble in amateur photography. My pets enjoy hamming it up for the camera and this comes in handy when I need reference photos.
